Ovbleur is a mixed-media artist who has been classically trained at California State University, Fullerton. His focus and interest pertains to the human figure and nature in all of its forms. The play of color can be detected in his work as a reflection of moods and emotions that arise from fleeting moments. It is an homage to the external material world; a surrender to its chaotic beauty.

From his extensive experience working in the Graphic Design industry, Ovbleur has polished his compositional skills over the years. Using a multitude of mediums, he seeks beauty through harmonious arrangements of form, line and color. The figures are liberated from their everyday settings in the closed off lethargy of the background, giving rise to fantasy and idealization. Although classically trained, Ovbleur’s work also reveals his awareness of contemporary abstract art. Rather than asymmetry, his work can be characterized by playfulness of shapes in a sort of “sweet idleness”.

Ovbleur utilizes oil, acrylic, and digital means in his paintings to enhance space. Whether it be the space within the frame or the space outside the frame, such as a room. The dramatic impact of his work can transform your space immensely.
