Our Mission

About Jessica

Jessica Kennedy is the Founder and Owner of Art Transparent. With nearly a decade of experience in gallery, museum, consulting and agency environments as well as a degree in Art History and Criticism, she works closely with clients to advise on art purchasing, collections management, and curatorial services for all manner of commercial and private projects. She has vast experience working with locally celebrated artists as well as established and blue chip artists from around the world, and oversees the creation of all artwork produced by Art Transparent artists through our Studio offering. She is also the Public Art Advisor for the City of Coral Springs, working with the Public Art Committee to source, commission, place and manage all public artworks throughout the city.

Prior to founding Art Transparent, she has worked at one of the largest public relations agencies in the world, Hill & Knowlton (now Burson), managing their U.S. and global new client strategies as well as supporting the development and execution of client communications. She also served as Director of Gallery500, a commercial art gallery showcasing artwork by talented regional and international artists, where she curated unique collections relating to Daytona Beach heritage and culture. In her role at Gallery500 she also coordinated the commission of original paintings for collectors and provided artwork for businesses such as the Hard Rock Daytona Beach, Lentz Plastic Surgery and Medical Spa, Daytona Autograph Collection Hotel, among others. Alongside this work, served as Artist Liaison for the inaugural ONE DAYTONA Art Festival, featuring over 100 artists and 10,000 visitors over the course of the event.

Prior to Gallery500, she worked as Memberships Manager and Curatorial Assistant for the Richmond Center for Visual Arts (RCVA) at Western Michigan University, where she earned her degree in Art History and Criticism. There, she managed the RCVA membership and Marketing program and served as Board Secretary for RCVA’s Friends of the Richmond Center Board of Directors, the governing body for the organization. She helped organize and facilitate the RCVA operations, lectures, exhibitions, collection activities, as well as fundraising events and engagement activities throughout the year. She also provided curatorial support for the center’s various exhibitions featuring acclaimed artists from around the world, and managed the University Art Collection boasting over 3,000 pieces of art including works by celebrated artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Sol Le Witt, Claes Oldenburg, Karen Kunc, Cy Twombly and Roger Shimomura. She oversaw the placement and installation of the private collection throughout campus in both public and private spaces, and in 2018 she was selected to serve as the Assistant Curator for WMU’s exhibition in Grand Rapid’s renowned ArtPrize competition.
